KUC Winter Retreat: Inspiration of the Elders

When: Friday, Feb. 21, 7 pm, to Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 pm

Where: Galilee Centre, Arnprior (40 min. west of Ottawa)

Galilee is a Retreat and Conference Centre overlooking the Ottawa River, with 35 acres of gardens, forest and waterfront. It adjoins Gillies Grove, an old-growth forest and rare remnant of the magnificent forests that once covered this region.

Let’s open to the Wisdom of the Bible and the Wisdom of Nature. Partway between the Winter solstice and the Spring Equinox, you are invited to explore the gifts of winter, taking time for going within. Inspired by Gillies Grove and the “elder” trees there, we will reflect on the teachings of our ancestors and find out what we might discover when we listen in new ways.Cost:  $120/single; $99.75/double — includes three meals.
