Worship Guest Rev. uzanne Sykes-

Reverend Suzanne Sykes was born and raised in Waterloo Ontario. She holds a BA in Social and Developmental Psychology and an MA in Religion and Culture from Wilfrid Laurier University. Her long road to ordination included summer school at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, participation in an archaeological dig of the Pontifical Biblical Institute of Rome, doctoral work at McMaster University and The School of Theology at Claremont in Theology and Christian Education, and last but not least, earning the M.Div. from Queens.

She has extensive experience in program design, pedagogy and education for all ages. She was Associate Director at Five Oaks Centre in Paris Ontario, and Coordinator of Lay Education at the United Theological College in Montreal. She has served several rural and suburban congregations outside Ottawa. She has twice been a delegate to World Council of Churches conferences in the Philippines and Switzerland. Currently she chairs the Christian Development Committee of Ottawa Presbytery and is co-director of the Madawaska Institute for Culture and Religion: a centre dedicated to bringing a process view of faith together with a post-modern view of culture.
