Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up – The people of “the Great River church”
September 22, 2013 @ 11:45 am - 1:00 pm
Sun, September 22
Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up – The people of “the Great River church” will gather to help clean up a section of the shoreline of the Great River. In honour of our church’s name, please join in! Canadians will be cleaning up the shores of lakes, rivers and oceans all week, to make the lands and waters healthier for all living creatures – who might otherwise be threatened by shoreline litter and debris. We will clean up a section of Ottawa River shoreline to the east of Island Park Drive, starting at 11:45 am. We will meet in the parking lot off the Parkway, just east of the Champlain Bridge. Protective gloves will be provided. All ages are welcome, but younger children will need to be paired with a teenager or adult. If stooping and picking up is a physical challenge, there are also data recording jobs that only require you to walk along the shore with a clipboard and pencil. For more information please contact Andrea Prazmowski in the church office.
